RIDGE STATE PARK
The firm provided project management for the 2002 Sand Relocation Project, whereby approximately 126,000 cubic yards of sand was moved to re-enter the dune migration system. In addition to project management responsibility, BPG provided NCDENR design plans, and solicited third party contractor bids.
ROANOKE
ISLAND RECREATIONAL SITE DEVELOPMENT
This project involved the development of a Recreational Site on Roanoke Island that includes boating access and parking facilities. The firm was responsible for survey design and the site plan development for this conversion. They were also responsible for coordinating the inter-agency jurisdictions involved with the Wildlife Resources Commission, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, NC Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and NC Division of Coastal Management. Furthermore, they are responsible for the engineering design, plans and specifications, the acquisition and approval of construction permits, bid documents and contract administration.
BPG provided project engineering and construction
management services for an 8,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment and
disposal system. The pre-treatment
system consisted of a Bioclere modified trickling filter with low-pressure pipe
disposal. The system is intended to
serve the ongoing renovation and expansion of the Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke
Ferry Terminal.
